The caregiver dashboard gives the adult child wellbeing summaries and conversational pattern trends, never raw transcripts.

Elsy is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor clinical conditions, and it is not an emergency service. It is a daily companion built to fill the gaps between visits.

**Who is Elsy for?**
Elsy is built for people living with dementia, from mild cognitive impairment through to moderate stages. It is most useful when the person can still hold a conversation but is starting to repeat themselves, lose track of time, or feel isolated between family visits. The buyer is typically an adult child; the user is the parent.

**Does Elsy work for someone with moderate or advanced dementia?**
Elsy works well through the middle stages of dementia. The voice interaction is patient, repetition-tolerant, and designed for someone who may lose track of a conversation mid-sentence. In advanced stages where speech itself becomes limited, the value drops because Elsy depends on verbal back-and-forth.

**What languages does Elsy support?**
15 languages at launch, including English, Danish, Swedish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Indonesian, Mandarin Chinese, and others. The parent can speak to Elsy in their mother tongue, which matters because dementia often makes second languages harder to access.

**How is Elsy different from ElliQ or a generic AI assistant?**
ElliQ is positioned around loneliness and companionship for older adults broadly. Elsy is purpose-built for dementia, which means the interaction is designed for someone who repeats questions, loses track of conversations, or needs gentle reorientation. Generic AI assistants like Alexa or ChatGPT are not built for this and tend to either get impatient with repetition or fail to recognize when the user is confused.

**Does Elsy require any hardware?**
No. Elsy runs as an app on a regular iPhone or Android phone. No special device, no smart speaker, no installation by a technician.

**What does the caregiver see?**
Wellbeing summaries, conversational pattern trends, and changes over time. The caregiver does not see raw transcripts. The principle is that the parent's conversations are theirs; the caregiver gets the signal they need to spot concerning changes without surveilling the relationship.

**Is Elsy a medical device?**
No. Elsy does not diagnose, treat, or monitor clinical conditions, and it is not a substitute for medical care. It does track conversational patterns that may be useful to share with a doctor, but the clinical decision sits with the doctor.

**Is Elsy an emergency service?**
No. If the parent has a medical emergency, Elsy cannot call for help. Households that need a safety system should pair Elsy with a medical alert service.

**How much does it cost?**
USD 29 or SGD 39 per month. Flat pricing, no tiers.

**Is it covered by insurance?**
Not currently. Elsy is sold direct to families. Insurance and clinical channel partnerships are part of the medium-term roadmap.
