Daily reminders

To set up reminders for your appointments and medicine times, just tell Elsy. Say something like "Remind me about the dentist on Thursday at 10," and you'll get a notification on your phone when it's time.

How Elsy works

You talk with Elsy the way you'd talk with a friend. Open the app, tap Talk to Elsy and start a conversation. She remembers what you share with her, so your conversations fit you better over time. You can talk with her about anything, from an old memory to today's errands.

Connecting your calendar

If you connect your phone's calendar, Elsy can tell you what's coming up and help you plan ahead. Turn on Sync with calendar in Settings, and your reminders will also show up in your phone's calendar.

Life stories with Elsy

Elsy can help you write down the stories of your life. Tell her about a memory or something you've lived through, and afterward she writes it up as a story, with your own words as quotes, so your family can enjoy it too. Your stories preserve your memories and can bring you closer to the people you care about.

Sharing with your family

Elsy makes it easy to share your life stories with family and friends. When you tap Send to family, everyone in Your circle can read the story and listen to it, with short excerpts of your own voice from the conversation.

How do I try Elsy for free?

Download the app from the App Store or Google Play on your own smartphone or tablet. Your trial starts the first time you talk with Elsy. For those first 3 days, you can try everything Elsy does at no cost and decide whether an AI companion is right for you.

Frequently asked questions

What happens after the free trial?

When the 3 days are up, the trial simply ends. If you'd like to keep talking with Elsy, you can choose a subscription plan in the app. You'll see the price and terms before you confirm, and your subscription continues until you cancel it under Subscription in Settings. With a subscription, you keep access to everything Elsy does.

Are my conversations with Elsy private?

Your conversations are recorded and stored securely so Elsy can remember what you tell her, and your stored data is hosted in the EU. What you say is processed by AI services in the United States so Elsy can hear you, answer and remember. We never sell your data, and we don't use it to train general AI models. Your family never sees transcripts or recordings of your conversations, except for the life stories you send them, which contain your own words and may include short excerpts of your voice. What else they see depends on their level in Your circle, from Stories only to Full trust, where they also see what Elsy remembers about you. If a family member set Elsy up and gave consent on your behalf, everyone in your circle is at Full trust. Read more in our privacy policy.

What languages does Elsy speak?

Elsy speaks English and 14 other languages. You can choose the language she uses with you under Language in Settings.

How does Elsy help with my medicines?

Elsy can remind you to take your medicines at the times you set, and keep track of your doses. When it's time, you'll get a notification where you can mark the medicine as taken or tap Remind me in 10 min.
