How do you set daily reminders by voice?
With Elsy, you set regular reminders by voice: say "Remind me every day at 8 to take my heart medicine," and the reminder arrives as a notification on your phone every day. A reminder can repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, and you can change or delete it by talking with Elsy.
Remembering daily tasks and appointments isn't always easy. With Elsy, you set a regular reminder just by saying what you need.
How do daily reminders work with Elsy?
Elsy is an AI companion made to help older adults keep up with their day. You can set reminders for appointments, medicines and much more just by speaking. Say, for example, "Remind me about the dentist at 3 p.m.," and she sets it up, so you can get on with your day with less worry about forgetting something important. The reminder arrives as a notification on your phone when it's time, and Elsy mentions it when you talk. She doesn't call you or read it out loud.
If you want a reminder to repeat, just say so: "Remind me every Friday at 5 p.m. to call my brother." A reminder can repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, so you can set one for a birthday too. Read more about how an AI companion can help with daily reminders.
Example: a medicine reminder
To keep track of a medicine, say, "Elsy, remind me to take my heart medicine at 8 in the morning." Elsy adds it to your medicines. When it's time, a notification arrives on your phone, and you can tap Taken right in the notification or simply tell Elsy. If you don't respond to a medicine reminder, the app asks again after about 5 and 15 minutes. Get more tips on keeping track of medicines and appointments.
Why use your voice?
Setting a reminder by voice comes naturally. You don't need any technical know-how to get started, so most people can manage it. And you don't have to keep everything in your head. Elsy is there whenever you open the app and want to talk, and she helps you keep your tasks in order.
Easy to use
Elsy is built to be simple, so many people can talk with her, including people with little experience of technology. You can teach her words that matter to you, like a word in your local dialect or how to pronounce a name.
Reminders for your whole daily routine
Elsy does more than remind you about medicines and appointments. She can also help you keep a good daily routine, like regular meals or the things you do for fun. You can add and adjust tasks by voice, which can make your daily chores easier to manage. Elsy also writes down your life stories: when you tell her about your life, she writes the story up afterward with your own words as quotes, and you can send it to your family whenever you like. Bring structure to your day
A well-planned daily routine can give you stability and ease stress. Among its tips, the US National Institute on Aging recommends following a daily routine and using memory tools such as calendars and notes. With Elsy, you can have regular reminders that help you get through the day's tasks.
Keeping your family in the loop
If you want, Elsy can keep your family informed about how you're doing. A family member at the Care partner or Full trust level in Your circle can see your reminders and medicines and help you with them, which can make it easier for them to support you. Your family never sees transcripts or recordings of your conversations, except the life stories you send them, which contain your own words and can include short excerpts of your voice. What else they see depends on their level, and at the highest level, Full trust, they also see what Elsy remembers about you. If a family member set Elsy up and gave consent on your behalf, everyone in your circle is at Full trust.
When family helps with reminders
At the Care partner level, your family can see your reminders and medicines, so they can support you day to day. A reminder that a family member set up is marked Set by your caregiver: you can still mark it done and record your medicines, but only that family member can change it. See what your family can see.
